Has this ever happened to you?
Has this ever happened to you? Let me start by saying that Mrs. Luckyman has one of those grown up jobs with a lot of responsibility. Me... not so much. That's not to say that I don't work; I do. Mine just isn't a 9 - 5 type job. The end result is that I'm generally home during the day and she isn't. During the day while I'm sitting at my desk (at home) working I really enjoy chatting. There really isn't a whole lot of opportunity to chat though, since most grown-ups have real jobs. Occasionally I do get on IM here at Yenta.com. Invariably though the only people that want to chat are guys that see Mrs. Luckyman's boobs. When I receive the invites I'll usually get on the chat and say something to the effect of; "I'll bet you were hoping to chat with my wife." Often the guy on the other end will "hang up" on me. Sometimes I get a bewildered, "uh... yeah. Is she home?" One guy today asked me when she would be home and what her name was. He was about 15 years older than Mrs. Luckyman anyway and he just felt a little creepy, so this time I "hung up." So this morning I got a request from an other guy and sent my usual response. This time he replied with an intelligent response. So he and I chatted for a little while. Because I like to know who I'm chatting with I checked out his profile. There were enough clues in his profile that I realized, this guy's in the same profession as I am!! My first thought was, "Oh Shit!! Do I know this guy?" Seriously, think about it, all of you people with "real" jobs. What if you found yourself chatting with someone only to find out that it was the person in the next cubicle? I will admit, I never let on that I was in the same profession, although I suppose that if he reads this, the cat's out of the bag. He did send me a picture and I did figure out who he is. Fortunately, he and I have never worked together, and our specialties are different enough that we probably won't. If he is reading this, let me assure you that I completely understand the anonymity of this site. I won't be running around telling everyone (except here I suppose, and then only in very general terms) what I know. OK, so that was a really long winded way of getting to this question; has anyone else run into someone they already know on this site? I'd really like to hear about that! |

Well it wasn't exactly like that. I was viewing profiles in the area I used to live and came accross 1 with a headless body pic that I thought I recognized. I read through her profile and sure enough, it was 1 of my ex-girlfriends. I sent her a message and we both got a kick out of it

I've come across a few that I thought I knew, its amusing. A while back I did meet someone that I already knew but it was a complicated situation where I hooked up with her and a guy, then months later her "boyfriend" contacts me, her real life boyfriend that is. She took one look at me and shushed me, saying, "don't tell him that we hooked up with my lover". It was amusing.

Yes, my hubby and I have found 'normal' friends on here and at a party. We have been pleased that it is usually no big deal. We laugh, say hello and think it's cool to find one more thing in common with them. It's interesting tho that we have never been interested in playing with any of them though. Maybe that's getting to know them 'too' well, LOL.

Yes, I actually ended up exchanging pics with a client. She backed out after that. She thought is was too awkward.
