He was an incredible singer. He claims he didn't make much money out of the millions and millions of records sold.

Once in awhile, a musician friend and I would take on the challenge of singing Paradise By The Dashboard Light at karaoke 🎤. Sadly 😢, another music icon lost.

He was awesome and what he did was likely something only he could have pulled off. It was certainly not the usual.
Sad to say another icon of our younger years gone.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

I thought of you when I heard the news this morning, given your recent post of his album and our exchange about our mutual appreciation of it.

Bat out of Hell II was another great album -- one I frequently listen to when I'm out cycling; the angry driving beat is great for a workout.

Truly sad for another great one gone.

I had read an article about his career and the thought occurred to me that it appears that it was the mix of a songwriter needing just the right singer to perform his music and the performer needing the right sort of writer to create it. The performer would have been just so-so to good without just that music and the music the same without that performer.

Makes me wonder how often that happens. (I know, second comment but I would love your opinion.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

The sound track of my youth. Bat Out of Hell. Know every song by heart. Not only a accomplish musician Meatloaf was also a good actor. Playing in many supporting roles in movies , TV. , and on stage. Who could forget his portrayal of Eddie, in The Rocky Horror Picture Show? A small part to be sure but one that was essential to the film. "What's the matter Columbia? You've eaten Meatloaf before." Few know he also reprised the role on stage playing both Eddie and Dr. Scott in the Roxy Cast Production.

Then of course there is his very well acted ( at least I think so ) Supporting role in Fight Club. I'd could go on but we all know the first rule of Fight Club.

The second time I ever made love "Paradise By the Dashboard Light" started playing on the car radio ,WJET 1400 on the Am. dial. I looked at here, and she at me and we both climbed into the back seat. A lengthy song, but it had ended before we did. Ah to be young again, and think your in love.

I had planned on posting my own blog this afternoon Joy. Using the same lyrics that you have but it seems you beat me to it. So I think I'll close with a song from Rocky..one about Eddie in fact, just the last few lines really...Hope you don't mind? I think it kind of fits How l feel about Meatloaf, and the news of his passing.

What a guy......

Makes you cry.....

And I did......

Eddie........

Rest in Pease Meatloaf... thanks for the Music and the memories.
